Base pay range 60.00 / hr - $65.00 / hr Direct message the job poster from ECLARO Technology Delivery Specialist at Eclaro The Enterprise Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for log management, host security, cloud security, asset discovery, vulnerability management, incident response, threat intelligence, Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR), Network Access Control, and network security. The Engineer will handle one or more of these areas, often collaborating with team members to support these functions. Security Monitoring Respond to all user, system, and network security incidents. Troubleshoot problems associated with security tools. Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls. Analyze large datasets from security logs and telemetry sources; develop tools to integrate data into operational controls. Automate security controls, data, and processes to enhance metrics and operational support. Utilize tools like Splunk or other SIEM solutions that use the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework for log normalization. Maintain awareness of current hacking techniques and cybercrime trends. Familiarity with firewall rules and advanced threat protection in next-gen firewalls (e.g., Cisco or Palo Alto) is a plus. Host and Cloud Security Implement automated security updates using tools like WSUS, Intune, or SCCM. Administer endpoint protection technologies such as Windows Defender or CrowdStrike. Identify and address vulnerabilities using network scanners like Nessus, Tenable, or Qualys. Contribute to security policies and standards for on-premises and cloud environments. Create technical documentation on security technologies. Data Security and Compliance Lead multi-disciplinary teams in security controls implementation, familiar with frameworks like NIST, CJIS, or CIS. Provide expertise on security architecture and systems engineering. Translate security requirements into business language and communicate risks. Perform related duties as needed. Bachelor’s degree required; experience may substitute for education. Minimum of two years related experience in cybersecurity. Preferred Knowledge in relevant technical areas. CISSP certification is desirable.
